Sgx Nifty Futures Opening Update as on 19 May 2020

The  Sgx Nifty Future is trading at 8,893.00 up with ++1.22% percent or +107.50 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 20,547.50 up with +1.67% percent or +337.50 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 24,372.00 up with +1.87% percent or +448.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Indian markets tracked their Asian peers and advanced on Tuesday, propped up by HDFC twins and Bharti Airtel.
The S&P BSE Sensex jumped 450 points, or 1.5 per cent, to 30,480 levels and the Nifty50 index hovered around 8,970 levels. ONGC, up 6 per cent, was the top Sensex gainer. Besides, Bharti Airtel surged 10 per cent post its March quarter results to hit a new lifetime high, while HDFC also rose over 4 per cent.Nifty sectoral trends remained largely positive, led by Nifty Financial Services index, up 1.6 per cent.

In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indexes were up half a per cent each.

 For the day the  nifty closed at 8,945.75 up with 1.39% percent or +122.50  point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,433.45 up with +1.49% percent or +299.72 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,393.44 up with +1.92% percent or +458.67 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,597.37 up with +3.85% percent or +911.95 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,953.91 up with +3.15%percent or +90.21 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,234.83 up with +2.44% percent or +220.27 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,433.45 up with +1.49% percent or +299.72 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,430.15 up with 2.05% percent or +490.18  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,898.58 up with +0.81% percent or +23.16 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 30,531.67 up with +1.67% percent or +502.69  point at 12:15 PM.
