SgxNifty Futures Update : 20 Jan 2022

The  SgxNifty Future is trading at 17,848.50 with a loss of -0.70% or -125.60 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 27,798.00 with +1.01% percent or +278.00 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 24,821.00 up with +3.10% percent or +746.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Rating agency ICRA on January 19 cut its estimates for recovery in the domestic aviation market to 52 percent of pre-pandemic levels from 62 percent earlier due to the outbreak of the third wave of COVID-19 in the country. The outbreak of a new wave of COVID-19 due to the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 will result in a 40-42 percent fall in domestic passenger traffic in January, ICRA said in its report

China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,568.36 up with +0.29% percent or +10.18 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 59,695.23 with a loss of –0.67% percent or ?403.59  point at 12:15 PM.
