The SgxNifty Future is trading at 17,872.5 up with +0.39% or +70.0 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 27,143.0 with a loss of -0.58% percent or -157.0 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 15,038.5 with a loss of -2.71% percent or -418.5 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
Indian benchmark indices opened flat with positive bias amid mixed global cues. NSE Nifty 50 climbed 40 points to trade near 17800 levels and the S&P BSE Sensex climbed 200 points to trade at 59,977 levels. The broader markets, however, were subdued in trade as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 indices slipped up to 0.04%. All sectors started trade on a volatile note with Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG indices leading the charge as they surged up to 0.5%. Shares of Maruti Suzuki gained over 1% ahead of the July-September quarter results due today. Profit-booking was seen in SBI Cards as shares plunged over 6%
