Sgx Nifty Futures Opening Update as on 18 Feb 2020

The  Sgx Nifty Future is trading at 11,931.50 with a loss of -1.17% percent or -141.50 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 23,088.00 with  a loss of -0.48% percent or –112.00  point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 27,462.50 up with -1.36% percent or -379.50 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Nickel prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 6.20 to Rs 948.70 per kg in futures trade due to reducing of positions by speculators amid sluggish demand at spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 6.20, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 948.70 per kg with a business turnover of 4,434 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for March delivery dropped by Rs 5, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 950.50 per kg in 112 lots.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 29,398.08 with a loss of –0.086% percent or –25.23   point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,380.16 up with +0.18% percent or +6.22 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,731.18 up with +0.20% percent or +19.21 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,193.80 with a loss of –1.40% percent or –329.44 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,565.67 with a loss of –1.41% percent or –393.93 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,984.97 up with +0.045% percent or  +1.35 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 40,628.05 with a loss of –1.04% percent or –427.64 point at 12:15 PM.
