Sgx Nifty Futures Opening Update as on 19 March 2020

The  Sgx Nifty Future is trading at 8,182.00 with  a loss of -3.68% percent or -313.00 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 16,585.00 up with +0.21% percent or +35.00  point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 21,713.50  with a loss of -1.33% percent or -292.50 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Shares of ITC traded 0.3 per cent up in Thursday’s trade at 10:29 am. Around 2,29,55,014 shares changed hands on the counter. The stock opened at Rs 150.7 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 152.35 and Rs 144.75, respectively, in the session so far.

The Indian conglomerate has for the first time set a dividend payout ratio for shareholders. The company’s board fixed dividend payout ratio at 80-85 per cent of profit after tax, effective this fiscal.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 16,552.83 with a loss of –1.04% percent or –173.72 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 21,794.14 with a loss of –2.23% percent or –497.68 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,702.13 with a loss of –0.98% percent or –26.63 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 27,972.29  with a loss of –3.11% percent or –897.22 point at 12:15 PM.
