Sgx Nifty Futures Opening Update as on 01 Jan 2021

The SgxNifty Future is trading at 13,970.00 with  a loss of -0.05% percent or -7.45 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 27,487.50 up with +0.17% percent or +47.50 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 27,295.50 up with +0.42% percent or +113.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The Indian benchmark equity indices, Sensex and Nifty traded higher Friday led by gains in banks and IT stocks. Broader markets outperformed the benchmarks with Nifty Smallcap100 and Nifty Midcap100 trading 0.7 percent higher each. Among sectors, Nifty PSU Bank rallied over 2 percent followed by Nifty IT, Nifty Media and Nifty Auto while Nifty Pharma and Nifty Metal were under pressure.

For the day the  nifty closed at 14,033.50 up with + percent or  +51.75 point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,444.17 with a loss of –percent or  -123.98 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,231.13 up with + percent or +84.02 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 30,606.48 up with +percent or +196.92 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,756.07 with + percent or +24.03 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 12,888.28 up with + percent or  +18.28 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at at 27,444.17 with a loss of –percent or –123.98 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,231.13 up with +percent or +84.02 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 3,473.07 up with + percent or +58.62 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 47,939.65 up with +percent or  +188.32 point at 12:15 PM.
