The  Nifty Future is trading at 15,909.20 up with +0.79% or +124.25 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 27,787.50 up with +1.13% percent or +310.00 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 26,112.50 up with +0.98% percent or +253.00 point.

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty rallied today. Auto stocks were in demand as July sales data showed a recovery. Maruti Ltd reported a 50% jump in July sales while Tata Motors posted a 92% surge in total domestic sales. Nifty Auto index rose 1%, led by more than 1%-2% gains in Maruti and Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Eicher and Ashok Leyland. Nifty Realty index rallied 4% led by gains in Oberoi Realty, Prestige Estates and Sobha. In the bluechip Nifty50, Titan, Adani Ports and Britannia were among the top gainers while UPL, Tata Steel and PowerGrid were among the losers.

For the day the  nifty closed at 15,876.35 up with + percent or +113.30 point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,781.02  up with percent or +497.43 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,204.74 up with + percent or +243.71 point.

 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 34,935.47 with a loss of – percent or –149.06 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,395.26 with a loss of – percent or –23.89 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 14,672.68  with a loss of – percent or –105.59 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,781.48 up with + percent or +497.89point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,180.06 up with + percent or +219.03 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,462.57 up with + percent or +65.78 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 52,933.30 up with + percent or +353.57 point at 12:15 PM.
