The  SgxNifty Future is trading at 17,975.50 with a loss of -1.32% or -239.75 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 28,793.00 with -0.71% percent or -205.00 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,499.00 with a loss of –0.55% percent or -141.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading at day’s lows on Thursday, as sell-off intensified on D-Street on F&O expiry day. The 30-stock index Sensex was hovering near 60,600, while the NSE Nifty gave up the 18,050 levels. Amid this sell-off, a total of 24 stocks hit their fresh 52-week low levels on BSE so far in the trade. While 147 scrips touched fresh 52-week highs, defying the sell-off on BSE. On the S&P BSE Sensex, just one stock — IndusInd Bank hit a new 52-week high of Rs 1,241.85 apiece, surpassing the previous high of Rs 1,239.40 apiece. While on S&P BSE 200, along with IndusInd Bank, ABB stock too rose to a new 52-week high.

For the day the  nifty closed at 18,021.55  with a loss of- 1.04% percent or 189.40 point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 28,820.09 with a loss of -0.96% percent or -278.15  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,529.85 with a loss of -0.39% or -98.89  point.

 

 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 35,490.69 with a loss of –0.74%percent or –266.19  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,551.68  with a loss of –0.51% percent or –23.11  point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 15,235.84  up with +0.00081% percent or +0.12   point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 28,860.75 with a loss of   –0.82% percent or  –237.49  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,636.60 up with +0.031% ercent or +7.86 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,524.09 with a loss of –1.07% percent or –38.21 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 60,653.21 with a loss of –0.80% percent or –490.12   point at 12:15 PM.
