SgxNifty Futures Update : 19 August 2022

The  SgxNifty Future is trading at 17,955.5 with a loss of -0.27% or -48.5 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 28,933.0 with a loss of -0.52% percent or -152.0 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 19,852.0 with +0.75% percent or +148.0 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex, and NSE Nifty 50 were trading flat with some positive bias on Friday. BSE Sensex gained 53 points or 0.1 per cent at 60,351, while NSE Nifty held above 17950. Stocks of Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cements, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Titan Company, Asian Paints were among BSE Sensex gainers. On the flip side, IndusInd Bank, Power Grid Corporation of India, State Bank of India, Reliance Industries, NTPC, ITC, HDFC Bank, and Nestle India were top Sensex laggards. Nifty Bank index fell 0.2 per cent to 39,572.55 levels. The government on late Thursday evening decided to hike the windfall profit tax on the export of diesel and brought back a tax on jet fuel exports, but slashed the levy on domestically produced crude oil in line with softening rates.

For the day the  nifty closed at 17,960.95 up with +0.025% percent or +4.45   point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 28,938.54  up with 0.012% percent or  −3.60 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 19,852.92 with 0.45% or +89.01 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 33,999.04 up with 0.055% percent or +18.72 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,283.74  with 0.23% percent or +9.70  point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 12,965.34 up with +0.21% percent or +27.22  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 28,940.09 with a loss of –0.0071% percent or −2.05  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 219,852.92 with 0.40% ercent or +78.98  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,278.68 up with +0.035% percent or +1.14 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 60,294.60 with a loss of 0.0056% percent or −3.40  point at 12:15 PM.
