TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
New inflation indicators from China, Germany and the U.S. hardened expectations that high interest rates would be in force longer than expected. FIIs offloaded equities for the sixth day in a row on Wednesday. The sell-off from FIIs is more than ₹10,474 crore in domestic equities.

For the day the nifty closed at 17,541.45 with 1.27% percent or +219.55 point.Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,950.67 with 1.64% percent or +451.80 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 20,580.70 with 0.74% or +151.24 point.
